Day...3

Hi everyone,
Ok so...day 3. Got up at around 8am, went for a shower,got dressed and got ready to meet Ili(our rep/supervisor) at the zoo entrance at 10am. It took us 15 minutes to get there which was really good and it was a lovely walk with everyone. Met the local "monkeys" but luckily they just stared at us as we walked past and didn't actually come down and do anything. Got to the zoo and Ili showed us around the zoo. It was a lovely walk and a great chance to stop off and see all the animals and get good photo's(which I will try and get later!).
After,she showed us to the Orangutans who we are working with for our programme(and me other animals too during the next 3 weeks!). Met Pudding and Heaven who are two adult orangutans and they are amazing!We watched them from afar as they lounged about outside. We then met Wusabi who is a 5 year old female orangutan who is on her own at the moment because she is too young to go out on her own with her mum and dad(and Pudding the mum has post natal depression and keeps think she might kill Wusabi if they let her in with her so they are waiting till she is older and a lot stronger for herself)She is sooo cute we can stroke her and hold her hand and she doesn't bat an eyelid shes not aggressive atall she just loves attention and someone to play with.
Went into town for lunch at Borneo Cafe again and had a great lunch and then we had the rest of the day off which was good so we just hung around town for a while,got any supplies for the house that we didn't have allready and had a beer and went home. Watched a movie with everyone and then just went to bed.Up early early tomorrow for our first day of "real work"!!!!
